If you want to lose weight clearing the “clutter” will help

Hi there !

Last night I read Jessica’s comment on my blog – in short Jessica wrote that she had just begun her journey of losing 118 pounds.  she is reading my “right sizing your life book” – and one of her comments about the book had to do with “renewing the mind”.

I think we all know the importance of “renewing our mind”.  with so much to do – so many deadlines – and obligations our minds can get cluttered.  if it’s not a To Do List – it’s grocery shopping – taking inventory at work – or helping the kids with school or swim lessons or whatever.

The other day when i almost put my favorite soft drink (diet orange) in the kitchen cupboard instead of the “frig” i realized i had way too much on my mind —–it was time to “clear the clutter”.  I talk about that in my book and on the DVD conference series Right Sizing Your life.  in order to lose weight or make any type of lasting changes – our minds have to be renewed.  our minds have to be clear of the clutter – the garbage – the junk - bad memories – angst – worry – whatever.  that’s why the bible tells us to renew our minds.

Unrenewed minds make poor choices – impulse decisions.  the decisions that feel good at the moment (like eating a box of oreos) and then feel bad later – sick stomach – packing on pounds etc……….renewed minds believe and cling to God’s word.  renewed minds know that nothing is impossible for those who  believe and so we live accordingly–  looking for God’s miraculous intervention at just any moment.

Clearing the clutter from your mind is important for you today.  Whether you are trying to lose weight, going back to school, or praying for God’s will your mind needs to be renewed.  i offer tips on renewing your mind in the book and the DVD series.  If you haven’t purchased your copies yet, please do so today.  It’s important to have “tools” around that help you get the job done.

Both the book and DVD series will help you do just that.  also surround yourself with God’s Word – praise and worship music and you’ll see a difference in the atmosphere and  ultimately your mind will clear.

I will be praying for Jessica as she embarks on her weight loss journey.   I am praying for each of you too.

Shalom,

Monica
