Those two words sum it all up - Jesus simply says "Follow Me'.
We follow Him when the way seems unclear. We follow Him when the way seems
unfair. We follow Him because He is Lord.
Thanks for sharing Dave.

I don't believe that there is even one of us who cannot relate to this message sister Monica. Yes we must run the race His way. Jesus said it so very simply with just two words, "follow Me." Yes Lord I will follow You. You are Lord and You are my Lord. Amen.

Rhonda, thank you for sharing "the unexpected" in your life. That's certainly a tough situation.
I will be praying for you. Congrats on handling it by running to God and spending extra time with Him.
You certainly have the right attitude and I am reminded of the scripture that says He is a rewarder of those that
diligently seek Him. You are pleasing God by your faith in Him and you are diligently seeking Him despite the
"unexpected" in your life. I pray God's continued guidance and peace in your life and on you job. I pray for your
supervisor and I pray that God will soften his heart and allow him to see how hard you are working and what an
asset you are to the company. May God bless you and yours Rhonda. Thanks for sharing.
Shalom,
Monica

The unexpected has come against me recently at my work. I have worked there for 6 years and have always received great reviews until this new manager took over. He seems to be picking on many of the older people of or store. His way of motivating people to work is to keep you in constant fear of losing your job by asking the impossible from us, It makes for a bad working atmosphere. I have realized that I dont have to live in fear because each morning before i go to work I spend time in God's word that gives me the strength and knowledge I need to get through my day. Whenever I am in doubt that I can't do what he is expecting, the Holy Spirit within says to me that I am not alone and he will help me through it. It seems harder than ever before for older people to keep their jobs because their are so many young ones witing in line for our jobs, but if you take faith and the grace of our Almighty God with you always then you cannot lose no matter what comes. I work for him not for this manager! Amen!

Hi MaryBeth, I certainly understand because consistency is critical to Right Sizing your life or losing weight. Consistency over time is what brings success. One of the things that helped me become more consistent was to plan ahead - the other was to be more realistic. In terms of planning ahead - here is what I do now. I always bring snacks with me - there is usually an apple and/or banana in my purse. Why you ask? I found as a busy wife, mom, working women, church leader that there are many demands on my time. Many times I find myself with one extra task /errand/emergency etc that I hadn't planned on. Those kinds of situations would cause me to be "inconsistent". I would end up being longer than I planned and I would get hungry. If I had no healthy snack with me then I would end up at a drive through with those sugar laden - high fat foods. Planning ahead while it takes extra time helps bring consistency.
The other thing I found that helped was to be more realistic. Sure, lots of people talk about working out 5 or 6 times a week. I found that I can't really do that consistently with all the "life" that's on my plate. If 5-6 workouts is my goal and I can't achieve that over and over again - then I feel "badly" and just give up. It's far better (I found) to select 3 -4 workouts a week and do that. I give myself that one time per week wiggle room. In other words I say 3 -4 times per week but I 'm still happy with 3 times per week. I give myself credit for all that I have to accomplish each week. I don't feel badly anymore about what I can't control. After all there are emergencies, special occasions that come up and require me to skip a work out.

In order to be consistent - we have to plan ahead and be realistic. Most of us don't have chefs preparing our meals, cleaning people taking care of our homes, and trainers to help us work out. Most of us are working inside and outside our homes. We have lots of demands on our time. We have people important to us in our lives that need, want and deserve our attention.
Try planning ahead - cutting yourself some slack and be realistic about what you can and can't do. I will be praying for you. Keep in contact and let's continue to help and encourage one another.
Shalom,
Monica

Betty, I understand how you feel. In Christ, you are not powerless. Our feelings can deceive us. I will be praying for you.
It's a lot to be a caretaker - I will be praying for you in that area too. Sometimes, as difficult as it is - even when we are caretaking - and
even when we have a lot that we have "to do" - we have to put our name on the list too. God cares for you - and for your husband - and your situation.
Perhaps it's not feasible to go work out at the gym - but would it be possible to workout out with programs like Christian Fitness and Rise up on
Christian Television Network. Look for small "doable" things. Again let me know if you can work out with those programs. I will be praying for you and
I'll help you find where those programs are on in your area. Slow and steady wins the race. I am praying for you. Shalom, Monica
